Acts 26:20 NKJV

How often do you see a profession of faith but don’t see “works befitting repentance”?

What is it to repent? It is a change of your mind. But, when you change your mind, your actions will follow. For example, someone is standing on the railroad tracks. You can hear the train coming. You tell the person that they must get off the tracks or the train will kill them. They are unwilling. They don’t care. You plead with them and they say that you are right and they should get off the tracks. Now, if they don’t get off, we’re they really telling the truth? There was no action to match their words. They really didn’t change, repent.

What would be the works? Obedience to what the Word says. The primary changes would be that of loving God and loving their neighbors as they love themselves.

Is this change happening in your life? Are you encouraging those around you to make that change?
